Sophia’s Reflection

It has been a great joy to partake LAC2201 project. I feel accomplished by conveying lessons learned previously during lectures and tutorials to my fellow 同学们 (classmates) by means of audio podcast. Not only that my friends could learn and gain something out of it, I can also reinforce my Chinese 2 knowledge- a good way indeed to sum up the module. The making of this audio podcast itself is overall很有意思! We picked up some skills from the making of tang yuan 汤圆and we now understand more about the 3 traditional Chinese festivals- Chun jie 春节, Dong zhi 冬至and yuan xiao jie 元宵节 .

Aldo’s Reflection

Personally, I enjoyed the whole process of planning and producing this audio podcast. It was quite difficult for us to meet at first because all of us have different schedules and commitment. As a result, all of us decided to take our time off during several weekends to meet up and I am glad that my teammates have been very cooperative. This podcast has increased my awareness of the significance of the major Chinese festivals and allowed me to learn various new Chinese characters. Making tangyuan was also a new and interesting experience for me.

Hamy’s reflection

Working on this project truly gives me some exciting experience and a lot of fun. Spending time on seeking for relevant and appealing topic enhances my knowledge not only about Chinese language but also about rich culture of China. It is very fortunate for us to have a very kind, enthusiastic and resourceful guest speaker who gave us many pieces of useful advice. This is my first time working on audio editing that took me quite a lot of time and effort to get familiar with the software; however, once I have been proficient in using it, it is truly rewarding.
